aren't we fucking rude today?
the thing i hate most are people with no manners. i don't care how old they are, how much senior they are to me, but if you don't have any manners, i ain't gonna have respect for you!
anyway, i'm not pertaining to one person in particular, but a whole group of people. they all act alike, these people. i usually don't take much notice of them, but today, they just pissed me off.
one of the people from work had her birthday last weekend... today she decided to treat everyone lunch. so food was delivered to the office - a little late, but it's all good, it's free and it was delicious, besides! so we all converge in the pantry, staring at the food, ready to attack as soon as signal is given. the people i'm referring to come in through the connecting door, all in one group, and crowd themselves at the end of the table. a bunch of us already had plates (if only to reserve them) and well, respectfully waiting for the birthday celebrant who hadn't arrived yet. they grab their plates and make the first move towards the food. one of them even had the gall to start taking the cling wrap off the pesto sauce. i didn't hear one word about waiting for the celebrant, nor i heard any of them looking for her to thank her. people had to be like, hey, where's the birthday celebrant? maybe we shouldn't eait first! but they didn't say a word. after a while, it's decided that we should just go ahead and take food already. they attacked first, and most probably took the most (as they are wont to do) and then they disappeared through their connecting door and ate their food in peace.
so fucking annoyed at the rudeness. first off - the birthday celebrant is part of our side, it's food for us initially (even if she meant everyone)... if it were me, i would've thought about letting the others go first before myself - after all, i'd consider me an invited outsider. second, whenever there's a party over at their area - they'll only call people here if there any extras. the reasoning behind this apparently, is because they think people from our side have more money, enough to feed everyone, and they don't. understandable logic sure, but.. wala lang. i mean, what if the person over at this end intended it for the people at this end only? and no, we don't generally have more money. third - i just hated how they just came, grabbed their stuff and disappeared. well before everyone else.
i hope like hell that they remember to thank the birthday celebrant when she gets here.
