Roots

So, as mentioned yesterday, i went back to my roots. The three places mentioned below was where i spent roughly the first four years of my life. Going back was such a trip, trying to remember things and places. I love going back to Mindanao. I forget, this girl is from Mindanao. And proud to be from the south. haha :) The cool thing about the whole weekend was Reg being with us - he got to see my roots, and we were able to tour him around and tell him bits of trivia. The rest of the family was pretty happy to share with him lots of little facts about the baby me. haha, it was great :) So here's a rundown of the trip: Cagayan De Oro We took Cebupac's 4:40am flight last Saturday to meet up with my family who flew in the day before. My dad had our Expedition shipped over to CDO, because he's been wanting to drive to Mindanao for ages now. So, as a compromise, and to avoid driving all the way from Manila, he shipped it to CDO instead. We got in at 6am, went to the hotel and to...

My interesting weekend...

it's not often that i go through a day not seeing reg. well today, after the longest time, i went through a day not seeing him at all. it's kinda... strange. haha oh well. tomorrow is finally a friday! very interesting weekend is coming up. i can't wait. :)

7 Random Habits/Facts

Tagged by Julette :) Instructions : Each player starts with 7 random habits/facts about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog! 1) I am scared of total darkness. I know it sounds childish and I'm not quite sure how it came about but I am unsettled when it's total darkness. There has to be some light coming in from somewhere. I panic during sudden blackouts and I find myself in the dark. This is why I always have my phone beside me. Aside from its actual function (calls, texts, alarms), it's also an instant flashlight. This is also the reason why I sleep with a lamp on, whose light is dimmed by one of my throw pillows. :p 2) I like eating raw lumpia wrapper. Reg was dumbfounded and yes, it's an acquired ...

Suspended reality

Being on holiday is a lot like being in suspended reality. you wake up, eat a full breakfast, get dressed, go out. To wherever. and suspended reality meant waking up in the same house Reg is in. Whereas, reality is really waking up early, getting dressed, go to work, eat something at your desk while checking email. and then you start counting hours until it's lunch, and after that, until it's time to go. oh, and you go online too. and you actually work. And reality is Reg and Kaye living in their own spaces. Now that we're back home, it's back to my reality. i'm back at my desk, wondering in vain how to get all the dust off my white mac keyboard when my boss with the really good cleaner is out on vacation leave (alcohol and tissue don't work that great). i'm back exactly to how i was two weeks ago - nothing to do. and guess what? i'm actually kinda happy because: 1) there's nothing to do and 2) it's wednesday so the weekend is almost here and fin...

where I spent majority of my shopping money in? Yeaaahhhh :D

Wedding Gowns

Today we visited this bridal shop here in Jakarta that my mom told me about before. I think i even wrote about it. The cool thing about the shop was that they let me try on their stuff. I GOT TO TRY ON WEDDING GOWNS! I actually tried on three - the first one i truly liked, it kind of made me wish that I was getting my dress made here instead. It was the gown from the catalogue that my mom sent me that first caught me eye. The other two were okay, but I tried them on because they were princess-like. i mean, petticoats, 3-foot long trains and lovely veils. They even made me wear a corset with it. haha :)i kind of want to bring home the veil, has that nice, delicate indo feel to it. but i kind of don't think it'll match my gown design. Of course everyone took a look. Rinna and Inna "practiced" by holding up the 3-foot long train of the third gown I tried because they had me walk across the store. Reg tho, had the coolest reaction of all. He, well... kind of... giggled. :...

Leaving!

Leaving for Jakarta tonight, finally trying out the cebupac flights. roughly five hours after arriving, we will head back to the airport to go to Bali. :) so glad to be going home... :)

Embarrassing Admission ahead

Ok. I admit. Because of Reggie's there's-nothing-else-to-watch-so-watch-wrestling-nalang excuse (wushuu!! aminin mo na, you just love it! love it! love it! ahahaha!!), I've also found myself watching wrestling again with an enthusiasm to rival my younger days (yes, when i was younger, i used to watch too! haha!). Except now, i get so involved that I actually follow storylines! Good God! :D But anyway, aside from it being very entertaining, the other reason why I watch wrestling is because of this man: ehem. John Cena. He is HOTNESS. I swear. Really. I first took a good look at him when we watched The Marine in Jakarta (we wanted to watch a movie at the Premiere and didn't want to see World Trade Center so we settled for the Marine, hehe). I know The Marine was such a useless movie but it's entertaining! Things getting blown up and all. John Cena pa. He's so cute. Haha! Rap laughs at me everytime I see him because naman, I turn into the stupidest giggly girl e...
