Comfort Music: Happy Music

I know it's strange, considering what the song says and is about, but Your Body is a Wonderland counts as one of the songs I'll put in a "comfort music" playlist, if I ever get around to doing so. The song is so light! It makes me feel light and la-di-da whenever I hear it. So thank you Arnie, for that link in your blog, that reminded me that I had the song in my iTunes. Now i'm all light and la-di-da. hahaha :D We got the afternoon You got this room for two One thing I've left to do Discover me Discovering you One mile to every inch of Your skin like porcelain One pair of candy lips and Your bubblegum tongue And if you want love We'll make it Swimming a deep sea Of blankets Take all your big plans And break 'em This is bound to be a while Your body Is a wonderland Your body is a wonder (I'll use my hands) Your body Is a wonderland Something 'bout the way your hair falls in your face I love the shape you take when crawling towards the pillowca...

The newest and tiniest member of our household

I forgot to blog - but for about a month now, we've had a baby in the house again. :) Meet Clark, Carlo's lil bro. He is my youngest cousin, as of this moment, at almost three months old. He has pretty wild hair but the cutest smile with dimples in both cheeks. He has started seeing so he also has started smiling more often. He now also "talks" back. :D We sometimes have mini-conversations consisting of baby sounds (him) and actual words (me) while lying side by side on a pillow on the floor. haha :) Since all the babies I've ever lived with (Aneka, Inna and Carlo) have all grown up, I'm now reminded again of how wonderful it is to have a little person at home. Being near a baby is all goodness and sunshine. :) I'm happy for the times I come home early enough to find him still awake so I can lay down next to him and play. I hope he doesn't grow up too quick. :) he was only about a few days old in the picture here, he has grown considerably now. :) -=...

Barrage of past memories and getting paid to blog (?)

Julette's multiply site now currently has a shitload of albums circa 2002-2004 ie. IMC years (sometime mid-3rd year to grad night). Not including the photo albums after college (ie. Cia's bridal shower PG-rated pictures). I had so much fun looking at them, I think I wasted practically an hour just checking everything out. I'm sorry, I didn't "waste", it was a good hour spent. Take out from the pictures? They were definitely the past (check out the clothes, i mean, where are those shirts now?! do i still fit in them?! ahaha!) in more ways than one, good-Lord-I-miss-my-old-body whining is now in full effect (I shouldn't have complained at that time that I was fat! waah! haha. Check out picture here - five fucking years ago!!), and I shouldn't have kept to myself that much during the earlier part of third year because i missed a lot of random camwhoring and some gimiks. haha. ah well. :D I have to admit, we do have to thank digital cameras and photo site...

That went well :)

As mentioned, we did head on over to see the designs for the gowns for the wedding. We loved everything. Haha! He showed me three designs for my gown and i'm torn between two. I think i've changed my mind practically every hour since we got them. I was hoping that my mom will give me a push towards a particular gown but she's also torn between the same two. Hehe. I think I'll take this whole week and sometime into the next to decide. :D I also love the designs for the entourage, the color scheme and his reco for flowers. I can't wait to show them to my girls. I'm crossing my fingers tho, that there are no gross negatives from them... haha! :) altho julette has seen hers and has given it her thumbs-up. Pero shet, seeing them gowns has just made me more resolved with this diet thing that sayang and i are both on. haha! :) ah well. here we go. :D The picture above was taken by rajo, as a souvenir shot. the dress forms at the back show us the fabrics: colors, com...

Back to the real world Being in Boracay twice in a month (with only a week apart between trips) makes you think that reality is waking up at 10am and heading straight for the water. That food equals to garlic and butter shrimps, choriburgers and really good chicken inasal, among other things. That you can actually take the heat because the water is only inches away. That afternoon naps are the norm, and that all you need to wear are bikinis, shorts and sleeveless tops. Alas, the two Boracay trips have come to their official end. I'm back at work. Concrete jungle once again. I'll be complaining more about the heat again (altho it doesn't seem to be so bad this morning). I miss the water. But i also missed the city. I'm somehow kind of glad to be back. Wish work didn't have to be a bother tho. hehe. :) -==- the weird wedding-related dream count is at 4 While in Boracay, I had another weird wedding-related dream. I can't quite remember the whole thing now but the...

Smitten.

the compulsion to write this particular piece of fluff is all due to a text from julette. ie. it's all her fault. ehehehe. :D just kidding! i know it's strange but i still have the biggest highschool girl-like crush on Raprap, the way I used to since... well.. hmm... ever since. ahaha! :D i know he's my boyfriend, fiance, husband-to-be but that has not, in any way, changed the fact that i still have this massive crush on him. on most days, it makes me want to squeeze him. on others, bite. on other days naman, just snuggle. haha! :) i'm always excited to see him, despite being together almost everyday, and i also have days when i am more excited than usual to see him. like today. like i said, it's all julette's fault really. haha! :) anyway! it's pathetic i know, but i hope it never goes away. :D
there must be something weird wired in my genetic make-up. i seem to have great affinity with that infamous green-eyed monster. sometimes i wonder if i don't just bring it on to myself. i probably do. give me a break, i know i do, i just have to admit it. there, i have. :D the funny thing is, it's STUPID. as it is usually. :p i'm just being a brat. and i'm too inquisitive and curious for my own good. -==- had a talk with my dad yesterday that ended with him asking us to canvass for places we'd like to stay in. saw some really really nice ones. now i can't be bothered to do anything else but check out model units. :p -==- for the first time in absolute ages, i was fighting back sleep during a meeting earlier. i did all the usual tricks - chewed gum, walked to the bathroom, doodled, took notes, pinched myself, looked down and closed my eyes for a bit, texted - nothing fucking worked. i was so happy when it finally ended. :p -==- i can't wait to get out of here...

wedding-related post

hay. i dunno how to work this out. sometimes i find that when i'm in the middle of a discussion about something, my mind starts to wander and wonder (ahaha, this reminds me of 7th grade spelling quizzes. i went to a british school - those two words don't sound alike. i digress) about times and timings and stuff. then i realise, i shouldn't be. the venues are more important to me/us. not settling for anything less means a compromise. :) anyway, things will definitely go ok. it's a party for and with the people we love. it's a celebration whatever time of day. :) and damn, what a big and happy celebration it will be. -==- i get weekly alerts from theknot.com (which is a pretty cool site, btw) with tips and everything. after quite a while, i got an alert that said something about time. specifically, it said "15 months to go!" i had a "what?!" moment. 15 months to go?! all of a sudden, it doesn't seem so far off anymore and there are loads that ...

This will be AWESOME

come June 15, everyone in the two pictures below (save for Shang and Zara) will be in Jakarta ALL AT THE SAME TIME! :D two pictures because in the first photo, les is missing as he's taking the photo. in the next, caloy is missing because he's the one taking the photo. hehe Just by mere turn of events, Sakote finally makes it to Jakarta together. :D yay!

This should have been posted last April 9...

it's not often that you find a person whom you can say is exactly the stuff great dreams are made of. in fact, i've been lucky enough to have been prodded onto a path that led me to the greatest dream-come-true. for me. :D during birthdays, i thank God for bringing those special people celebrating their birthdays into this world and into my life. With Reg, I thank God every single day. With him, life is colorful, happy, bright and full of love. It's just off the hook! hehe. Happy Birthday sayangku! *mwah* I love you! I can't wait to be married to you! tee-hee. All of a sudden, next year doesn't seem so far off anymore. haha! :) It's awesome knowing that I get to celebrate all of your birthdays from here on with you.

Boracay trip number 1

Image
was a blast! and fucking hot! hahaha! i am officially dark. and i'm flying back to boracay next week again! oh goodness. :D but i loved it. the water over by pearl was great. the shrimps over at paradiso were heavenly. we took advantage of happy hour but would get sleepy early on at night. we were there mainly because myra, reg's cousin, and her husband archie wanted to visit boracay. i had to reassure her that there was not much arm-twisting that went on to plan that trip. we'll never turn down boracay. hehe. some titos and titas were there as well, but they were basically doing their own thing. got some camwhore shots in my camera, lots more different sort of shots from archie's and myra's. i can't wait to see their pictures. and despite slightly sunburnt shoulders, i can't wait to hit boracay again next week. :D

April.

Again, time has pushed forward without me noticing at all. It's now been three months since I first complained about it being only January - keeping in mind that my mind's eye focuses only on July 2008. It's interesting, how you never really notice the passage of time. Only when you turn your big-assed desk calendar onto a new page you realise that once again the months have changed. This month promises two out-of-town trips, a very long weekend for holy week that will start with a half-day on wednesday. This month also promises extreme heat. The height of summer. April sun. Speaking of sun, I can't wait to hit Boracay's stretch of sand in this heat. Heat like this is easier to take on sandy beaches rather than on concrete. Excited! :) As I was telling Reg yesterday rather giddily, I can't wait for Jonah's shakes, for the yummy shrimps over at Puka Beach and lazing around. And maybe finally this time, i'll remember to save space after dinner and eat a ch...
