is it pathetic?

to somehow not want to leave on a what promises to be a really good holiday just so you can see your project done? gawd. :p

flashbacks

last night, as i was crawling around in my bedroom looking for something, i came across our old diary. i say our because i shared this diary with four other friends back in year 9. each person got to take it home for about a day or two, and they get to write in it. whatever's in it is never said out loud, each girl who has it for the day guards it with her life. there are three of these - the first is with jung hwa, the second with me and the third is either with megha or andrea. so anyway, i came across the second one, picked it up and started to read it again. duuuddeee.. i can't believe how young i sound in those entries (well, duh! i was 14). and if you can declare love to a different person every week, that was definitely the time to do it. more than half of the things we talked about were the guys we were supposedly "in love" with (for that week, that month, for the whole year, whatever the case may be). they were the guys at school, guys in the big screen. we ...

someone stop time!

or at least slow it down! am leaving on saturday, early morning, which really means i only have about 3 days left of this week to get things done. besides all the office stuff, my mom has me running errands as well! and i want to be able to see friends before i go (it sounds as though i'm gonna be gone long huh? hehe. it's just for two weeks). i hope she (my mother) doesn't have a cow because i have plans tomorrow and on friday, i think. :p -==- speaking of time - we're five years and five months old today! gawddamn man. where did all the time go? we're almost six years old! goodness me. the first half of this year has been quite eventful and drama-filled, but everything's all good now. in fact, it's awesome! so i wonder how the next half of the year will go? love you baby! happy monthsary! (to be honest, i don't even know exactly how many months it's been now. haha!)
what's with the damn names?? i was looking through a magazine earlier and saw a picture of a 2-year-old boy whose parents unfortunately named (brace yourself): Anakin Skywalker P. Lozano Good Lord. :p -==- was picked up last Friday by my mom and my sisters from work. looked over at my second sister to see her wearing a different shirt from the one she had on when they dropped me off at work. was then informed by my mom that it was this shirt she got that you could fashion into different styles. damn. and i had read about and been looking for that shirt for ages!! consolation here is - i get to buy that shirt but in a different color. and she doesn't live here so there would not be a lot of instances where we'd have to discuss on who wears the similar shirt for the day. i used to be such a brat about having the same clothes as my sister. when she was little, she liked whatever i had! it would bug me like anything. i remember the time when Alien Nation was the coolest thing e...

you've got it all WRONG!!!

i'm not kidding. i am just a spoiled brat. and so are my sisters. you're soo wrong.

Monster-In-Law

saw this movie last night with Yan. so damn funny!!! i'm serious! i loved it! i didn't really think it'd be that good but man...! it's pretty good! i haven't heard a whole theater laugh at the same time, react at the same time and even, clap at the same time since the Incredibles! i actually missed some lines because people would be laughing so hard. Saya! i love it when everyone at a theater is thinking the same way and reacting the same way - you can be sure that they'd all settle in their seats and be quiet so they can pay good attention to the movie. some of the stuff i loved: - "i am SICK. SICK. SICK of your SHIT! and i'm TIRED! i'm sick AND tired!" - the nuts thing. ahahahahaha! :D - ohmigoodness, HOORAY for the curvy girls! i can sooo relate to jennifer lopez's problem with the vintage dress. i get that ALL the time. when you guys check it out, i'm sure you'll know what i mean right away. :p - two words: large diamond. it was...

i wish...

Image
(no, no, not the song. tee-hee). i was surfing through the web to alleviate boredom when i remembered that i knew a website of an old classmate. and as i looked through it, i clicked on this username who ended up to be another old classmate! and when i mean, old... i mean, old... like year 8, year 9 old! ohmigoodness. sidenote: Jenza, do you remember max? he has a livejournal ( www.livejournal.com/~maxmana ). i found owen! he has a livejournal too! :D both of them seemed to have gone in the same directions - photography, visual arts and graphics. and they're both really good! it's really inspiring me to learn now... i mean, i love taking pictures so i may as well learn about it right? i just need a camera for it first. :p ANYWAY... sometimes i wish i'd get to see old friends/classmates again. but since we were all in an international school, it's a little impossible. For one, there have been so many people who came and left the whole time we were there. i probably have ...

revisiting my love for TV

the past two weeks has had me running home early enough to sit in front of the tv. anyone who knows me well enough will know that this is extremely unusual. the fact that i'm home early enough to sit and watch tv is a little unusual. and the fact that i don't turn on my pc and instead sit in front of the tv is damn unusual. in short, i've watched more TV in the past two weeks than i have had in the past two months. it's been fun.. i wonder how long it will last. :D -==- extra challenge is fun to watch. there's some weird sense of fascination watching other people whine their way through the whole thing. ehehehe. last night, they were at some water park, trying this "surfing" thing... it looked fun. now my sisters want to go to Dubai! hehe. all i remember from Dubai is the theme park we went to, the cool hotel and the desert. that's about it. hmm.. maybe we should go and visit Abu Dhabi and Dubai again, just for the hell of it. hehe. but it's damn e...

it felt like a long weekend

for some reason, i felt like my weekend went on for a while. don't get me wrong, i'm not complaining at all. when monday finally arrived, i felt like i was on holiday for a while. weekend recap: friday: Watched Batman at Greenbelt with Yan, Nek and Inna. I loved it! it was dark and moody... :) saturday: dad arrives from jakarta. asks that we all go and pick him up. so we do - including mocha and carlo. goodness, two of them together in small space isn't good, especially when carlo gets gigil over mocha. poor doggie! carlo's forever harassing him. hehe. mocha doesn't do anything really, he just sits there... it's carlo who's extremely malikot. we get home, and everyone goes off to do whatever, until family starts arriving for my lolo's 80th birthday dinner. and damn! what a dinner! mom got food from contis... yummy garlic sotanghon (crap, now i'm getting hungry! dammit. hehe). ate soo much! :p my lolo from my mom's side decides that people should ...

that revicon max ad

have you guys seen it? the one with the built guy and with supers and VO that says: heart of a 40 year old body of a 30 year old stamina of a 20 year old ok, so.. how come, when they say "stamina of a 20 year old", the camera pans down to the hips area, just stopping short of reaching his groin? ahaha! it amused me lang, that's all. concerns of men. fascinating. :D

unfamiliar, familiar

i was going to write something here about the unfamiliar becoming familiar but i figured it was such a "duh!" post that i thought twice about it. i mean, come on, everything is unfamiliar at first right? i guess what i really wanted to say was that i am fascinated by the transition from unfamiliar to familiar. half the time, you don't notice it at all. i mean, take for example - the office. i walked in and i thought that it was this bright, airy place that felt a little clinical... i guess it was because of the bright, white lights. i thought the pantry was dark. i felt like going to the creatives side would get me lost. but now, i take a step back and survey everything around me and think - it kinda feels like another sort of home. it's not clinical at all - it's kind of homey, in a messy kind of way. the pantry isn't dark - it has those yellow lights that i love. and if i get lost going to the creatives then i don't deserve this brain because duuuddeee.....

20 random stuff about me

forgive me, am bored. :D -==- 1. if i could, i'd walk barefoot all the time 2. i can't sleep without some noise - which is why my radio is always on (that reminds me, i need to get my speakers fixed already! argh) 3. my night isn't complete if i don't go online (weird, i know) 4. i consider pictures as one of my most priceless posessions. i live in fear of losing them. 5. i can't survive the day without gum or candy! :p 6. i hate how KFC no longer has their corn-and-carrots fixin. why oh why?? 7. my ears are allergic to fake earrings, which sucks because i can't wear those cute earrings i see everywhere. :p plus, i can no longer wear just any earring for my second piercing. gah. :p 8. my parents think i haven't driven past alabang, but in reality, i've driven all the way to makati... a billion times. 9. but despite seeming like a disobedient, bad girl, i do really try to follow all my parents' rules. :p 10. i constantly get deja-vu 11. eventhough i ...

Sin City

saw this movie over the weekend and loved it. black and white, with spot colors. very pulp-fiction, kill bill type. loved it, loved it. batman this week! yeaah. :D -==- was it just me or was katie holmes a little too kilig when she was introducing tom cruise at the mtv movie awards? gag. :p

Overheard

on the PA system of NAIA: "outgoing passenger, ROD STEWART (pause) VICENTE ... please proceed to the Cathay Pacific counter" made my Saturday man. ehehehe
you really get thrown when you find out you have to prove yourself in a different way... not in the way you're used to. quite the challenge... and am up against a mountain! haha! ah well. ok lang. :)

it's all about the family!

Image
my family's arriving tomorrow...! well, my mom and my sisters will be arriving, am not too sure yet if my dad's gonna be coming home with them already. i'm pretty psyched, i hadn't seen them since February and haven't really talked with them much too. Right now, it's all text and emails... ever since i started working, my mom hasn't really felt the need to call at least once a week like she used to do when i was still in college. she texts me instructions now... so i haven't really spoken with her in ages. and if i haven't spoken with her in ages, it's even worse with my sisters! i only get to speak with my sisters if they happen to answer the phone whenever i call (and that's really seldom na). although my baby sister texts me sometimes din, but i worry about her pulsa naman because it's expensive to text here. ah well. now they're gonna be back and the house is gonna be full and noisy again. chaos will reign! haha! but hey, the hou...

i don't watch a lot of tv but...

i definitely love sitting down to watch either of the following: 1. one tree hill - everytime i tune in, it's always heart-wrenching. i can't explain it, but i love this show! it's never been superficial or babaw to me... it's galing all the time! hehe. 2. CSI - either las vegas or new york... damn man, i'm riveted everytime one of these is on. it's just damn fascinating 3. amazing race - the only reality tv show i actually tune into. love it! can't wait for the next one, i hope it's interesting 4. that 70s show - i don't catch this a lot, but every episode i've seen always makes me laugh 5. (i'd love to be able to watch at least one full episode of) Desperate Housewives - i'm running home early tonight so i can finally sit down and watch it... 6. sex and the city - unlike my friends who caught this religiously on HBO before, i'm satisfied with any of the boxed sets/DVDs they toss my way (or whenever i remember to borrow them, that ...

i saw this last night:

Image
damn man... they're both hot! i loved it... it was more than them being married hit...um, people. it was about marriage and partnership and all that jazz. oh well, just watch it. methinks that the famed love scene was cut... i mean, it was supposed to be "sizzling" but i saw nothing! hahaha! ah well. dvd na lang. :)

dear baby,

Image
you do know right? that i love you. and that it'll always be us, together... partners in this crazy ride called life until the end of time? :) "you made me believe in love and not the perfect kind. A real, messy beautiful twisted sunshine" :) love, me

My "marilyn monroe" moment

You know that famous picture of marilyn monroe? the one with the white dress, standing on top of an exhaust, skirt flying, hands holding it down? ok, i had my version of that earlier today when i went downstairs to get money from the ATM. i was walking down the steps, when this gust of wind came along and blew up the front of my skirt. *gasp* it was a good thing that i managed to hold it down pretty quickly (i was on my way to holding on to my skirt when it happened anyway) and ended up holding it close to my side all the way to the bank and back. it was so embarassingly funny that i had to fight a smile off my face the whole time i was walking. and to think that i was just thinking then that it would be total disaster if my skirt blew up. haaay... :D

random shite

Let's all go to the FĂȘte! Please, please! I will gladly stand there from 4pm till who knows what time to check out the stuff. and the fact that it's in el pueblo is perfect... when you get tired from the heat, run to a mall! :D haha! anyway, i hope i can go... my family will be here but.. i hope i can work it out. hehe. -==- got this quotable quote from Cosmo, June 2005: "Being in love doesn't just make you swoon, it also makes you stupid . A new study found that romantic feelings inhibit parts of the brain responsible for critical thinking." so when someone says they did stupid things for love, you now know why!! :D -==- i've come to the conclusion that the weather and my sleepiness are in direct correlation. Whenever it's dark and gloomy outside, i always feel sleepy no matter how many hours sleep i've gotten. When it's sunny and bright outside, i'm as happy as anything... even if i've only had about 4 hours sleep. yes, i do love the sun....

one down

finally!! finally!! i hope i'm not speaking too soon here, but i think... think.. think... that a project is over. yay! and there is a big possibility that another one is going to come up and i don't mind. something new. i hope i don't regret this but... bring it on baby! ahahahaha! :D pardon me, it's been such a lethargic day. one hell of a great lunch tho, c/o the office. yumyumyum. i feel like a pig, i've been eating so much!! waaah!! damn those times of the month. shopping na lang! bwehehe. :D yabang, parang may pera :p yeah-ba. ok, i'm gonna bail. cya!
