starbucks, metrowalk and guilty feelings
starbucks in metrowalk impressed me today.
i was sitting outside with my FILC girls (don't ask bout the name, please. hehe) when we decided to move our table because we were getting wet by droplets of water coming down from the roof. so, in typical group effort, we counted to three and lifted the table. except one of my dear friends underestimated her upper body strength and lifted it a little too quickly and a little too high so my HOT (yes, HOT) tea spilt on my hand. of course, being girls, we all squealed while anna declared: "ok, i'm embarrassed, we're embarrassing." hehehe :D
it was so sudden that i didn't really feel the hot liquid except i could see my hand getting red. i got a little worried though (but it's ok Guia, really!) because hot liquid + skin = not so good. diba? so i grabbed one of the cups with cold water and proceeded to pour it on my hand. the kind guard from starbucks came up to us to give us more tissues and to ask about me. my friends told him i was ok. a few minutes later though, the guard comes back with one of the starbucks' baristas who carried with her a burn ointment and some cotton.
ain't that great? while i know starbucks sells hot beverages and the possibility of burns is high, i didn't really expect them to have some ointment on hand. but they did, and they were kind enough to offer some to me. :) so now my hand is ok.
astig ng starbucks! :D hehe.

speaking of metrowalk... sitting out there today made me realize that metrowalk's entrance is basically a red carpet for cars. the entire time i sat there, i saw about 3 z4's drive in (one with its top down), a bunch of bmws, benzes, set up cars, the works. even some snazzy motorcycles. walking down it's front area, where cars are lined up, is like being in a showroom - you see all kinds, in all shapes, sizes and ages. very interesting actually. :) i saw this car drive up that caught my attention but i couldn't tell what make it was (sayang wala sila Les!! i really wanted to find out). i was hoping to see it while we were walking but it wasn't parked up front. ah well. :p
metrowalk is actually a pretty nice place to hang out in... it's busier than town, but it's serene... steady :)
there are some people who i think i know about cars because i can appreciate looking at them.. especially gwapo cars. but can i just say right now that i know SQUAT. as in, nothing! i only know what i know from what my friends tell me, and even then it takes me a while to understand what they're saying. so just because i read tech and tuner (more for the tech stuff, i just look at the cars) and i can point out nice cars on the road doesn't mean i KNOW cars. i don't. wish i did though, but sometimes it's hard for me to absorb all that technical info. :D
erm, wala lang! haha!

the past few days have been really busy for everyone in the office. there was a big pitch that all the creative teams were working for, brands running, requirements running into each other. i am actually starting to feel pretty guilty about the amount of work that i ask for. i have no idea why some of the stuff i handle decided to move at almost the same time. waduh! gila banget. everytime i walk towards the creatives' area with yet another requirement, or another adjusted deadline, my heart sinks to the bottom of my shoes. i'm serious. i hate having to rush something, as much as possible, i'd like to stick to the deadlines first given. but, like with this one client, they keep adjusting deadlines on me! for example, i found out, at 8pm today, that one of the materials need to be FA'd by Monday. Rawr! I was hoping that i could schedule FAs for next week, but one of them needs to be advanced.
WADUH!
ok, i know this is all part of the job and that sometimes there are just things you can't help and work just needs to get done but still. i'm human. a nice human at that, so this sucks for me. :p
