one hell of a day at work, but i still have some things to be thankful for
i really thought i was gonna have a steady day today. actually, up until about 4 in the afternoon, it was going ok! until i get one infuriating call from client... which escalated into two, three, four more.
my sentiment: tang ina, we can't read your minds, you need to tell us things, you disorganized mess of a client you!!!
grabe. it totally threw me off this afternoon. i guess i've been simmering the whole week now and today i reached boiling point. i really didn't mean to get so pissed today, but i was just so frustrated at them... and at their gall to say pivotal things at so late in the day. and i hated how she sounded like i was already supposed to know what they decided. oh no, no, no... you didn't tell me shit! how was i supposed to know?!
thank God though that they worked it out for themselves and things worked out great in the end but i still went through shit this afternoon after that one phone call.
the thing with me is.. it takes me forever to get mad... and i really derail myself when i get really mad too! it was so off kanina. i came off sounding tired and exasperated when i spoke to people earlier... which maybe i shouldn't have because i wasn't the only one working on the things you know? and i hate showing people that i'm mad, because it's never their fault.. it's usually someone else's. :p
the thing i also realized earlier about being an ae is that eventhough you've had one hell of a day, you can't really complain about it to anyone else. creative work is different, and i'm sure it's a burden on their minds to have to keep up with all the things they have to create and revise. but damn, being in accounts is hell too! it's like being in the middle of a see-saw... you can never really relax because the whole thing may fall off-balance if you do.
thank goodness for friends who know what i'm going through, for a balcony where i can go and just look out and try to let all my anger out (so i don't take it out on other people) and long talks with friends who can take your mind off things. if i didn't have these during the day, i'd probably be stark, raving mad by now. oh, and thank my lucky stars that i work with people who don't really give me a hard time. i swear, if somehow, for some reason, they all disappear and move off somewhere else... i'll follow their lead too! :p haaay...
Thank God it's finally Friday (oh wait, Saturday na pala). i hope the weekend goes by as slowly as this week went. :p

on a side note: i love listening to NU when it's remote control weekend - it's like being transported back to high school, listening to all these cool songs i haven't heard in a while. it reminds me why i began to love and appreciate rock then... and it makes me appreciate rock all over again. \m/ can't really get away from your "roots". (oh, and thank goodness there's Guia who keeps me up to date with the new stuff).
also, thank goodness for steady gimiks with my baby and our friends... nothing de-stresses me quicker than that! :)
and on that note, yes, i got to end my day brightly despite everything.
thank goodness.
i shall go off and sleep now. :)
