New template

So how do you like it?
One question though: Does anyone know how i can put the whole thing down so it doesn't cover the Blogger navbar?? I've tried adjusting the background but everything disaligns after i do! and i'm soo frustrated now that i can't be fucked anymore, so i'm leaving it as is.

hehe. :)

yes, this is what i spent most of my long weekend doing - trying out templates and fixing em up (at least, to the best of my abilities anyway. i still have a billion to learn about html. haaay...). i even put up another blog just to practice on! :p hehe

so anyway, post ur comments... and if you can help, i'd greatly appreciate it.

Those DAMN PINK FENCES!!

not only do they waste such a perfectly nice color (except it's in an ugly shade...) but it also turned EDSA into a major maze! does anyone really know where to go when faced with those pink fences? and those damn signs that point out where PUVs should go and private vehicles should go MUST BE LARGER!!! i mean come on, how much time do you have to change lanes when you're seconds away from entering the forbidden lane?!

and another valid question: what if the place you're going to, or the turn you should make is inside the pink fence? specifically the one reserved for buses?? what the hell do you do???

i'm ranting because last night, my baby and i got caught by the mmda. we needed to turn left onto a street that was in the pink fence so we went in the pink fence.

and got caught.

so anyway, we didn't really mind being caught because yeah, ok, we really did make a mistake but the fucking mmda officer just pissed me off! there were two of them there, and the guy who did the talking just pissed the fuck out of me man.

first he's sort of shouting, which i saw no need for. especially when we were explaining how we got there and where we wanted to go.

and then he goes, this is a double offense - because first you didn't read the sign, and next you went into a lane for public vehicles only.

OK DUMB BUTT - we went into the lane because we didn't see the sign! so that's one offense lang, gago!!

and then he asks for the OR and CR of the car which i start looking for because i wasn't sure where our driver keeps it. so it's taking me a while right?

and then he goes, TRIPLE OFFENSE NA! DRIVING WITHOUT OR AND CR!

and i shouted back, SANDALI LANG HA?! ANDITO YUN. all sarcastic.

so mmda guy is trying to explain to my baby how he can get his license back but he was so taray about it and he kept harping on how we didn't have the or and cr so my baby wasn't responding that well to him either. and i was again making parinig about how they should wait and stuff as i was grabbing my phone to call our driver.

the other mmda guy (who later on my baby says he saw nudging the other guy, as if to say, no no.. let me do the talking na), sticks his head into the window and says, ma'am, ok lang po.. aantayin po namin.

and i go, thank you manong.

so i'm on the phone trying to call my driver and the other mmda guy still has his face in our window, waiting. and it's taking our driver a while to answer his phone and out of frustration i shouted, "pick up the fucking phone!"

mmda guy kind of backs off for a bit.

i finally get hold of our driver, find the damn or and cr and hand it to them.

mmda guy again starts explaining how we can get the license back and stuff (trying to be nicer) and we're like, what happened to the metrobank thing?! because he was insisting that we go to the mmda office and pay something like P750 because of the double offense or something. and he starts going about how there are two tickets - i forget their acronyms - but the gist is, one is for you to go to metrobank with and the other to get it from the mmda office in makati.

and then he says, bakit po? mas gusto nyo na lang po yung sa metrobank?

and i was like, oo naman! mas malapit ang metrobank sa bahay namin kaysa sa mmda office! bakit pwede pala mamili?

and the gist is, it sounded like we could have chosen.

anyway, angry mmda guy kind of changed his tune - and was trying to be more helpful and stuff but i was just so pissed off at him that i think i had my eyebrow raised the entire time he had his face in our window.

so anyway, angry mmda walks off to catch another guy and the nice mmda guy who told us that they'd wait for it comes up to us with our ticket and says,

"ma'am, pasensya na po kayo sa kasama ko, masyado pong mainit ang ulo. sinasabi ko nga po na ako na lang kakausap sa inyo."

i said, "oo nga manong eh. pero ok lang po. pasensya na din po kayo natarayan ko kayo."

and he goes, "hindi po... yung kasama ko kasi..."

and then goes on to explain how the metrobank thing works, and how we only needed to pay P200 because he brought it down to one offense.

so there, done and over it.

LESSON LEARNT?!

DON'T GO THROUGH EDSA! IN FACT, IF YOU MUST, DON'T TURN ANYWHERE, JUST GO STRAIGHT!!! aaarrggghh!!

no really though, watch out for these dudes. and remember there's that Metrobank thing so they don't get your license. and i'm glad for the nice mmda guy, because i could really feel my blood pressure rising. angry mmda guy just made the whole thing so difficult because he was snarling at us, so we were snarling back at him and it just made the whole thing so gulo when it could have been so simple. i'm glad though, that the other mmda guy had the decency to apologize for his friend.

i told ryan, i wouldn't mind getting caught if the people who did the catching were as nice and as easy to talk to as the nice mmda guy.

so.. yun. all's good now, we just have to pay.

remember guys, watch out for the damn pink fences... and make sure you remember that you can pay at Metrobank.

:p
