it's all about the family!

my family's arriving tomorrow...! well, my mom and my sisters will be arriving, am not too sure yet if my dad's gonna be coming home with them already. i'm pretty psyched, i hadn't seen them since February and haven't really talked with them much too. Right now, it's all text and emails... ever since i started working, my mom hasn't really felt the need to call at least once a week like she used to do when i was still in college. she texts me instructions now... so i haven't really spoken with her in ages.

and if i haven't spoken with her in ages, it's even worse with my sisters! i only get to speak with my sisters if they happen to answer the phone whenever i call (and that's really seldom na). although my baby sister texts me sometimes din, but i worry about her pulsa naman because it's expensive to text here. ah well. now they're gonna be back and the house is gonna be full and noisy again. chaos will reign! haha! but hey, the house has been pretty quiet lately so it'll be cool.

"fat" comments i'm expecting aside, i'm psyched to pick them up tomorrow. :)

onto other family news, Aneka (my little sister... Inna's the baby), has "moved on" (yes, they don't "graduate") from middle school! *clap, clap, clap*. With two outstanding student awards in the three years of middle school, i'd say she did pretty well, don't you? she didn't get one this year, but that's alright. those straight As are something to be proud of still. Altho, hey, that just means more pressure in high school... because she'd better do well in high school too! haha! okay... that's the last i'll say that. i don't want her to say that "everyone's" pressuring her to do well. bwehe.

altho hey, i gotta say that no one's really pressuring her to do well... she just does well on her own. naks! pa-guilty effect naman ngayon. :D ahahaha!

man, i can't believe she's going to high school! i feel old! in my mind's eye, i can still see her clearly as a child - first as this chubby, can't-sit-still baby, with curly hair and deep dimples in her chubby cheeks then into this thin, malikot, everything-long kid (long hair, long limbs) who used to hit me everytime she got mad (and it'd piss me off because i wasn't allowed to hit back). She used to really annoy me when she was about 5 or 6 or 7, and i can't really remember why now. I guess it was the age gap. Now that she's older though, i still sometimes see that malikot and makulit kid in her and she transforms to that little Aneka I knew. Ever since I left home, I never really saw her transitions, she'd just be different everytime I see her. but despite my fears of her being in an IS school all her life, she's grown up quite well. she is fun to be with naman, especially when i look at her and see her little again.

i guess in my mind's eye, she'll always be that little kid. :p i may have to sacrifice some things for her later on, but that remains to be seen. :p she probably doesn't think so, or know so, but i do love her very much. :)

Congratulations Neka, for kicking ass in middle school!
even without that award this year, we're all still damn proud of you!
