Cia's MARRIED! Goodness!
I can't believe it! It's been a year and a month since she told knox and i back in boracay that she was going to get married already. The year flew by pretty quick and the next thing you know, we were all at malate church in our formal best, waiting for the bride to walk down the aisle.
And what a beautiful bride she was. :)
All of us couldn't help but cry!! I don't know why people cry at weddings since it's such a joyous occassion, but seeing someone in a wedding dress is just... i don't know. you know that things will change from that moment on and that walk down the aisle is the both the start and the end of things. we all just got so emotional. thank goodness for great make up because that definitely stopped us from bawling our eyes out. hehe.
everything was just so nice! the mass was short and sweet. the church and flowers looked beautiful. the walk to baywalk in our dresses after the mass was extremely funny as well. The reception was very intimate, despite the fact that there were 200+ people in the room. somehow, there was an atmosphere of familiarity - it felt like you knew almost everyone and anyone. everyone there knew the couple so well that even inside jokes made sense to some outsiders. can i just say that this was the most fun, funniest and most endearing reception i've been to? everything was just soo cia and ferdie that people didn't want to leave! haha!
after the reception, a bunch of us decided to go to malate with intentions to continue on the gimik... except when we got there, there wasn't much to see and nothing sparked our fancy so we ended up in cafe breton. goodness me. we went all the way to malate to eat crepes. how old can are we huh?! :p hahaha!
all in all, it was fun. they now both have rings in their right hand that somehow look weird yet fitting anyway. i can't believe she's married and flying off to singapore at the end of this week. manila and sdl won't be the same without cia around, that's for sure. but thank god for technology... and the fact that singapore isn't halfway around the world. :D
i have nothing but the best of wishes for them. I love these two!
haaayy grbe, despite all that and being there in person, i still can't believe they're married! haha!

my first official day as a, gasp!, 23-year-old
... felt exactly like it did when i was still 22. hahaha!
I spent the first few hours of it still at cia's wedding reception (yes, we were there that late) so i was with some of my greatest sdl friends and my baby.
The next day, I was wakened early by my cellphone constantly beeping AND ringing (sorry, roomies! haha!). Got funny calls from my family as well. Ryan came back to the hotel at about 11 with a bouquet of flowers and my most-wanted book (thanks loads baby!!) and we then went off to have lunch at Gerry's with my roomies at Westin, the newlyweds and the two hermosa boys. Hours later, we had dinner with the sakote ppl at Alba's.
So I was not only happy, tired, sleepy... I was also extremely full.

It was a long and great weekend, but I had loads of fun, spending it with everyone i loved.
