Of love and family...
we spent last weekend in Midsayap - which is one of my absolute favorite places in the world. It was my lola's 80th birthday and we had a big surprise party for her. Our whole arrival was a surprise for my lolo as well... it was funny seeing his face get more and more surprised as we each went in the house one by one. i loved being able to surprise people by how different we all were now. everyone's grown up.
the party was great too.. usual hometown fare - it started early and it ended early. but we all made it worthwhile by trooping home and belting out songs from the karaoke machine until 230 in the morning. this i gotta say, i know definitely know that there is a thread of "kalokohan" all running through our veins. it was soo obvious that we were all related. hehe!
i love them all to bits. and i wish we had more time to spend there. i mean, there were so many things to catch up on. my little cousins have all started to grow taller than i am! goodness...! my kuya and i used to be among the tallest among us kids but now all the little ones have caught up and are now towering above us. haaayy...
i missed everyone there terribly. it makes me wish i could bring back time where we used to spend our christmases there.
midsayap is home... one of my homes.
wish we could go back there often.
being around family is great.
