food, booze and rock & roll

sums up my weekend perfectly :p friday night yan and i watched once on this island. i loved it! loved it! now i remember why i liked this play in the first place. despite the fact that the memory of it is dear to my heart, it's just damn good! i was getting goose bumps, laughing and had tears in my eyes. and i was such a sucker for it that i even bought the P100 program just so i'll have a souvenir. goshdang. after that, yan and i made our way towards gasoline alley in galleria for this NU thing (heard my friend andrea, yes she's a jock, giving an update about it over NU and we decided to head on over). ended up hearing pedicab and sandwich... wasn't that satisfied with it because they both just didn't sound that great that night. i'm blaming it on the sound system, which sucked!! saturday had lunch with my FILC girls in Cibo in Shang. Classic lunch, non stop chismisan and catching up. Man! i missed hangin out with them. we missed on out on a filc night/day the ...

sayin' goodbye is the hardest thing to do

when it's to someone like you... (song by?? guess who! :p) went to kristine's house today with kris to hang out and say bye. we spent most of it sitting down in front of the tv, talking bout nothing in particular the way we used to do. when i said bye, that's when it hit me how sad i was to know that she was gonna be leaving. as kris said, i hadn't felt like this in a while too. :p hell, no more melodramas since you're coming back girl! pictures, pictures! i'll really miss you tho... :p let's go back to how it was -- cc's in emails! :D take care girl... have a safe trip.

pleasant surprises

don't you just love surprises? especially pleasant ones? (i say "pleasant" because there are just some surprises that can be extremely bad trip! haha!) i love pleasant surprises. they tickle :)

the baby shower

missing "s" on "congratulations" on the cake aside, i would say that last night's midnight baby shower for kristine went pretty well. she cried. so, mission accomplished!! hehe. :) funniest part of the night was when we were at the back door of the building waiting for her team leader to come get us when kris spied kristine coming out of the elevator and walking towards the front door. we froze, and scuttled behind the guard's station towards the bathroom. and bit by bit grabbed our plastic bags stuffed with food, gifts and other things to our hiding place. it was hilarious man!! we totally didn't expect her to come down at all. i managed to get the guards to watch out for her and let us know if she went up the elevator already. it was a close one, especially when she told us that she planned on going to the back in case that's where her mom went. thank goodness, hindi. :p kristine leaves on friday for the States, where she will be for the next few m...

of giving up...

a wise bird once told me that there are some things in this life that you can easily give up for one person. he probably doesn't think himself wise, but i consider him to be - only because our personalities mirror and yet, he had the ability to give up things for one person. i used to think of "giving up" in absolutes. no turning back. everything given away. no remnants of yourself left over. all those who know me will know that i vehemently disagree with giving away everything, of not putting myself at no.1. they all know of the quirk in my personality that says, what i want, i should get . the other day, i retracted my claws and gave up. i gave up something that i wanted to make way for his wants. i settled for no compromises. i think i unnerved him there, but i just gave up. for the first time too! the first big step in slowly learning to give and not go for what i wanted all the time. and i realize that it's ok. it's ok to give up some things. it's ok not ...

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith

Greenbelt 3, 845pm, Cinema 4 May 20, 2005 with the amazing college barkada.. incomplete tho :p Interesting to see that Anakin was brought over to the dark side by the fear of the loss of his precious Padme. It was all about the LURVE, pare. :D hehe. Mushy, gooey love lines aside (as Inquirer said, "What all three prequels show is that even a stellar cast of critically acclaimed actors can't pull off terrible, sappy love lines. George Lucas, stick to CGI!" tee-hee), i liked it. I think it could have used some more "oomph" but it was thumbs-up nonetheless. Someone please give me that pic of Hayden Christensen (sp?) half-naked. Please. Yum! hahahaha! Hmm.. did i give too much away there? but hey, i'm sure most of you have seen it already, judging from the crowds in the malls' cinemas during the weekend. :) one last note in this disjointed entry: Yoda is still THE man. hehe :) -==- Saw In Good Company last night with yan at Gateway. PFG man...well, pretty f...
