ever feel like you're alone eventhough you're surrounded by so many people?
terminal got this feeling so perfectly. that shot of Tom Hanks as he stands in the middle of the terminal, distressed, as he had just realized that his country is in turmoil. As the camera pans out, you see that he is surrounded by other people, all with their own problems and agenda, carrying on with their life. It keeps panning out so that you can no longer see Tom Hanks but a crowd of people and realize that he has just become another insignificant speck of being in that terminal.
i sometimes feel like this. in the midst of noise and activity, i feel removed. like i am not part of it at all. i can see the people swirling, moving around me, but i am in the middle and i'm not part of it. that i am just a bystander. it's quite lonely actually. i don't know what the source of this feeling is. it's not as if i do not surround myself with people i love constantly. i have my boyfriend. i see my friends constantly. i have the people living here, in the house with me.
but i sometimes just feel really lonely. i mean, all this going out business and filling my days with activity is just to mask the fact that i feel alone here sometimes. it's probably the reason why i'm kulit enough to get a little miffed/tampo/let down when my boyfriend says he can't be with me.
i just feel lonely, is all.
i don't know exactly what i'm looking for, and what i want. i know that all the time i have in my hands is not a factor because i used to feel this too, even when i was still in school.
i dunno...
i guess, maybe, i just miss my family. because with them, even in the midst of furious activity that i am just a bystander of, i hardly feel lonely. hardly feel alone.
maybe it's the fact that i sometimes just want to be with the people i can call "my own".
