i was thinking...

friends are important, right? eventhough you haven't known each other for years on end but have gone through quite a lot together and really just mesh together well, you're still good friends... ones that love each other's company and always try to look for ways to get together.

boyfriends and girlfriends are extremely important too.... and your friends and your S.O. will always have the chance to get to know each other and hang out together. in the best case scenario, your barkada and your S.O. will get along great. i know that i have that in my case so i'm thankful. =) thanks guys! and thanks for liking my friends baby!

but i'm just wondering... is it right for an S.O. to stop his/her partner from seeing some of his/her friends just because they're jealous? (not them in particular, but just any person?) because when that happens, the group is forced to pick and the rest are left behind fuming because, well... what did they do?! they're being judged because of what they are...

is it also right for an S.O. to dictate to his/her partner what to do, when to go out, when to see his/her friends, when to hang out with them? after all, chances are, their partner would have known this group longer than the S.O. has known the partner. it's not like the group will get their partner into trouble. and.. the group understands the importance of the S.O. surely they will watch out for the best interest of that.

i know that S.O.s will come first, usually. i know that that happens in my case. altho we're great about letting each other see our friends too, if the opportunities arise. you can always have the next day (or during the gimik itself) to keep each other up to date about what's happening. that's what great about technology. and hey, why not just let everyone get together? that'd be really fun too.

is it really necessary to have your S.O. choose? isn't it alright for them to have both worlds - both you and their friends?

or does it really just all boil down to one thing -- trust?

i'm just wondering because.. well... i'm starting to feel bad bout being considered a "friend" of someone because it's starting to mean that i won't get to see or be with the rest of the group. feeling left out is the worst thing in the world - especially because it happens in the hands of someone you don't even really know.

it's sad really...

but who can beat the wrath of an S.O.?

=P
