it's a saturday and i am at home... at 6pm. woohoo! something new... =P but i hope i can go out with my friends later. i've been missing their company since i've always had a lot of fun with them. strangest thing is, i've only met most of these people last april... but being around them is fun. you get to listen and hear some things that they have done that just make you go, "hmm... sure does not seem the type!" hehe. it's great..
hoy les & kris.. miss ko na kayo! pati na din sila paul!
but it's not just my friends too.. i miss ryan too! but at least i get to see him tomorrow. =) baby! magpakita ka na uli!
anyways, i feel a lot more objective now about my job after the residency integration class this morning. (i swear, that class should be called "residents anonymous". hehe). what ppl have been doing lately in class is talk bout their jobs, how they feel and all that so it seems like a therapy session because people vent and other people advise. kulang na lang we say, "hi. my name is kaye and i have a problem." hehehe.
so.. after the class kanina, i'm feeling more objective about my job. i guess the stress of what happened yesterday made me a little, well, impatient and angry plus all the tiredness i've been feeling for the past month just sort of came to a head. =P i mean, if i look at it objectively, it's not so bad. i get to go to some meetings, i've been part of a shoot (yup! my head is at the background of this major print ad in the newspaper. hehehe!), i've seen materials before they are printed... and my boss is really good about explaining and keeping me up to date with the projects she makes me do.
it's all the other stuff in between that just gets me down. it's the missing POs, the deadlines that certain people set but don't meet themselves, the fact that i spend most of my day going from the 16th to the 18th.. i guess it's just that i feel like i'm always on the go.. always running errands. and having to deal with some managers who somehow think i'm their assistant too.
but it's part of my job.
saddest thing about it... it's all part of my job.
i still don't know what to make of my job.. i still don't have an answer to the question people usually ask.
and i still think that maybe, after the 10 months, i might not consider being in the same company.
besides, i already sort of decided to try out an agency after graduating. at least then, i'll know what to do and where to be. but we'll see.. i still have about 9 months to go.
residency integration is a good class.. truly it is. makes you think about a lot of things. and there a lot of other people who are going through the same thing who have opinions that just help you see the whole picture. and mr. calero's really cool about all the advice too.
residency integration... residents anonymous. yep, saturday mornings are interesting... definitely. except in the next few weeks, it's all talks. but hey, anything's better than having to take down notes and sit for exams. financial mgt is bad enuff. =P
